3 Week Yoga Retreat!

A week ago I tried out Beachboy’s 3 Week Yoga Retreat workout. Most of you know that yoga isn’t really my speed BUT I gave this a try. My fur babies also decided to get in on the action – about 30 seconds in you can see my dalmatian, Gambit, upstage me in downward dog pose.

I really enjoyed this program – the direction was on point. I wasn’t confused throughout the workout. The moves weren’t crazy. There are modifications available AND the instructor is honest – he falls out of a pose and just gets back into it.

The session was about 30 minutes and I was sweating by the end of it! I thought only hot yoga would do that for me. It was a great workout and a great stretch for my entire body.

I definitely recommend this 3 week program!! And it would go hand in hand for someone doing the Ultimate Reset as that program focuses on diet as opposed to strenuous workouts. Comment for more details!


Insanity LIVE!

It’s been a few weeks, so I feel I can talk about it now – minus all the goober excitement.
Coach Summit 2016 – Nashville was my very first Beachbody Coach Summit. The only think I knew about it was what I had read from the agenda on the app, and what my team has told me about their experiences last year.
I signed up to get Insanity Live certified the day before Summit began. I figured getting it in a large group would keep attention off me and I would have to do much work. I ended up loving it!! The workout was brutal. Bruuuuuuutal. BRUTAL. Only because we were all giving it 150% to know what it’s like to go all out. We can’t ask a class to push it and not know what that feels like. It was my first time to do Insanity Live – I’ve only done Insanity and Insanity Max30 prior to the class. Brutal as it was, I LOVED it!
I love the blocks – they just flow. Kudos to Danielle for building that structure. I love the movements. They’re enough to push you, but not enough to kill you. The warm up changes each workouts, but the cool down is the same cool down from workout to workout. I cannot wait to teach it! I just need to learn it!
So why did I decide to get Insanity Live certified? As far as any of you know I’ve never wanted to teach group classes. I do want to get my CrossFit level 1 certification though – which is group exercise, right? See there. I actually like teaching. An introvert who likes teaching…mind blown yet? Here’s another one – my dad (also an introvert) doesn’t mind teaching either.
Teaching is easy per se. As an instructor/teacher YOU are in charge. YOU set the pace/tone/conversation. This is pure beauty to an introvert because of the problems with being an introvert come with the unknown. What is that person going to ask? How many people are going to the party? Will all eyes be on me as I fail to think of a proper answer?
So yes, I’m excited/nervous/ready to being teaching Insanity Live. Now who needs me to come teach some classes?!

Doggy Beach Day

We’re lucky enough to have a multitude of options available to take our dogs to play. Unfortunately, we have asshole dogs. They aren’t the friendliest at times and sometimes they are TOO friendly and they will go hang out with anyone and everyone – even yards down the beach. All too often Danny and I are yelling at them more than any other doggy parent is yelling at their fur babies.

We kept them on their leashes until they figured out the rules of the beach. Simpson was released first because all he really wanted to do was dig holes. Gambit is a little harder to control so we had to make sure he wasn’t going to take off. So here’s our little adventure out at the beach!

Pensacola FitClub

Last week we conquered Shaun T’s T25 total body circuit workout AND some Max30 Ab Attack!! In the same breath that I say I love me some Shaun T, I also hate me some Shaun T.  Holy moly the intensity!!! But as you’ll see from the video – I take my rest breaks!!! Sometimes I just lay on the floor and recover. BeastMode needs breaks too! 😉

Money Well Spent

**Disclaimer** I am NOT bashing these products, simply making a comparison statement. I have a fabulous consultant and YES all these products are mine and I USE them ALL. I will gladly give you the names of at least 7 R+F consultants that are amazing!!


Ladies. I want to address something that seems to be running rampant on the internet lately – the singular use of skin care products. Let’s be clear, I use skin care products because I care about my complexion, my wrinkles, my dark circles, my sun spots AND the future state of my skin. BUT I also drink a shake daily and eat healthy for over all, well-balanced nutrition. I workout regularly and stretch to keep my body in tip-top shape. (it might not look it, and yes sometimes I look like a hot mess…but I’m TRYING)

So someone PLEASE explain to me why women are sinking hundreds of dollars a month on products for their face ONLY?? So you want to have an amazing face but you don’t care about your body? Or do you care about your body but not sure how to start taking care of it? I seriously need to know!!

When I ask people what’s stopping them from being healthy it’s always cost. Well, cost and time. But if you consider it an investment – like you’re investing in your face – the cost shouldn’t be an issue. It’s only expensive if it doesn’t work. When it works, it’s an investment in YOUR HEALTH. I mean, hello!!!

I definitely value the power of a pretty face. Hell I’ve been a R+F user for about 3 years now. I can’t tell you how much confidence I have gained by having a clearer face. I had painful acne, those ugly deep ones that you could feel coming for days but nothing would make it go away. Then it would linger on your face for what seemed like eternity. Yes that might be TMI for you, but it’s real.

I couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve had one of those breakouts. Seriously. Having a clear face gave me the power to go without a lengthy makeup routine in the mornings. I’ve been comfortable rolling out of bed and running errands without wonder if people were going to stare at my pizza face.

WHY am I telling you all this?? WHY am I raving about a skin care line that I don’t even sell? Because I’ve been there. I’ve been lacking self-esteem. I’ve been in a low place where I didn’t take care of myself. I started slow. I said “let’s take care of this face”. Then I said “let’s take care of this body”.


So maybe it’s time for you to take care of your body too?


Think about it. And if you think it truly is time to start taking charge of your health – message me, wave a flag, tackle me in Target (not too hard I have a 70.3 next month). Let’s get you started on your journey to being not just a pretty face! MUAH!



I Love to Ride my Bicycle!

So that’s not 100% true. But lately, I’ve been liking it more and more than the past few months. Mainly because I’ve been training with Mere Mortals AND I have some awesome friends who are willing to wake up early on their weekends and ride with me. How awesome is that?!

We’ve been riding out a Fort Pickens in Pensacola, Florida. Which is really awesome for cyclists for multiple reasons:

  • It is gorgeous in the morning! White sandy beaches, emerald green water, awesome history
  • Limited and slow traffic – usually only people fishing, camping, or day use beach goers
  • No hills!!!
  • Loops so you can stop at your car, not have to load all your nutrition and fluids for 60 mile adventure

So I made a brief video of us riding and exploring – more to come!

I just want to let you all know I am STUPID excited for this program! And yes, there WILL be a challenge group for it. I used to train Muay Thai weekly for months. Then I added kickboxing….then I moved.
